I had a problem where MSAS was not starting automatically. I found that if I
used msconfig to disable everything connected with Symantec WinFax, AND set
the Winfax service to manual, that MSAS would now load reliably every time.
Winfax will still run on demand. It just doesn't have their junk hanging
around waiting for a fax - that may never come. If I know that someone is
going to fax me I start the program in advance.
Hope this may help others!
