Not much to go on from your description.

Typing where? In a cell?

Can you move to another cell and type there?

Is Excel frozen? Or you just can't see what you are typing?

You forgot

-plug keyboard back into USB port

try one or more of the following:


- remove cat from keyboard
- put the g&t down
- but if it's writer's block, pick up the g&t
- chase after the scamp who mugged you for your Blackberry
- retrieve laptop from irate hostess *after *you've landed
