This is not a negative comment on the announcements as such. It is just an
observation that mass announcements don't generate the same level of
critique as individual one-off posts.
I would just like to warn the careless (like myself) or uninitiated in this
group that some of the postings that are being mass announced in this group
are not pure freeware (as described in the FAQ) and downloaders should
carefully investigate each program before installing. While I haven't as yet
been unfortunate enough to install any spyware I have installed and
consequently uninstalled some severely crippled programs. I will have to
learn to 'look before I leap' which has always been a great failing of mine
when it comes to downloading freeware. I would personally advise requesting
advice on software before installing it if you are unsure as you will
usually get very good advice here.

Yes, they seem to be quite random. It's a phase he's going through,
that all of his personalities seem to be sharing.
