Warning! Fake toniarts

i've been using easycleaner for sometime and its works fine! But, the
original site www.toniarts.com has been hijacked by some krooks and they are
collecting money pretending they are having some club!

The real toniarts site is:

http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/

and its totally free!

Toni himself writes about the situations on his real site:

www.toniarts.com is no longer my web site, my web site now and in the future
will be this (http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts). www.toniarts.com
is just cheating people for money, I've asked them to stop, repeatedly, with
no luck. To get those auto-updates working on my programs you need to change
the update URL from the options. Instead of
http://www.toniarts.com/EasyCleaner.ini use
http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/EasyCleaner.ini.

Thanks for the warning jama. I among probably thousand didn't know about
this, so it's new news to me.
Thanks again. It would appear that Ceg new about this but didn't bother
posting, even as a safeguard to other users.

had a quick look around the "real" toniarts site, and didn's see much
about what he was doing about this blatant theft.

Surely the company hosting the fake site could do something ? I think
I would go to the police !

OK - I write a site about my fave hobby - birdwatching - and have it
hosted by a company.

I then leave that company, but not only do they keep my old site up,
they amend it and charge money for people to read my site - why don't
they add porn to it - child porn or whatever.

Bottom line is they are using his name - without his permission - I am
sure that this is illegal, as well as obviously immoral.

They have even got a page where they show the toniarts logo - along
with a note that this is patented - it is - Toni owns the patent.

It was discussed pretty widely in this very forum while it was taking place.
