I have a new computer with XP home installed on it. I am surffing the
internet with no problems. I am trying to get access to one web page and I
keep getting a warning. I might understand if it was of questionable
content, but this is a web hosting site. I can access there home page if I
use the ending .net but not .com

What setting needs to be adjusted so that I can get access to this web page?

What's the exact text of the error message? Is this a popup window, or is
this in your browser on the page itself? What browser are you using - IE6?

I am using IE 6.0
The IE page comes up saying the page cannot be displayed. I was just across
the street and I was able to get onto this site. WE are both using the same
ISP. Asd far as I can tell I'm just having trouble with this one site.

So it's just a 404 - page cannot be displayed?

Can you ping the address (www.whatever.com) and have it resolve to an IP
address? Same as on the PC that works "across the street" ?

Do an ipconfig /all on your PC (from a command prompt) and compare it to an
ipconfig /all on the computer that works - check the DNS server entries
particularly.
