My father has a big problem that we cannot get rid of. "He clicked on
something and then got spammed and the his pc went directly to dos
with an error of warning case has been opened." We have tried
resetting it, disableing it, and enableing it but the warning will not
dissappear. Pc will not boot in any type of safe mode. it will not
start from any restore points and will not even start fresh from cd on
a os disk. We checked out pc health in bios so far nothing. It is
obviously a virus but we cannot access anything.

What kind of PC? Did it come with a WinXP operating system disk or a
restore disk? Provide specifics on exactly what you tired with the os disk
you referenced in the post.

Are you familiar with the procedures involved in erasing a hard disc and
reinstalling all the software? If not, I would call in a professional.

If you can get into BIOS, check the security settings to see if there is a
setting for case open. Disable it if set for enabled and see if that helps.
How old is the PC? Has the case been opened at any time for HDD, video card,
sound card, etc. upgrades? Most motherboards that have a case open setting
in BIOS have a jumper on the MB if there is no case switch. If there is a
switch, make sure it's still good.

where would the switch on the motherboard normally be if it was on the motherboard if there is no case switch?

cause i have a friend that is having the same case open warning that is popping up on his computer
