I'm searching for technical information (PDF) for this motherboard P4S-LA
(rev 1.2) this board is used in my HP pavilion791.nl
When a card is an OEM product, Asus does not generally have a
download page for it. It is HP's responsibility to provide
documentation and BIOS updates. This is the only page
I can find, and I'm sure you've seen this already.

This web page correlates P4S-LA, with P4S333-M:
http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/OEM/HP/
The manual for a P4S333-M is here:
ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/p4s333-m/p4s333m-100.pdf
Note - do not try to use the BIOS from the p4s333-m download page,
as using that BIOS may cause your HP restore CD to stop working.
The info in the BIOS could be part of the "tattoo" for the HP
software disk. Also, sometimes there are subtle hardware differences,
and the result of using an Asus BIOS on an OEM mobo, could be that
some peripheral stops working. (If you do decide to ignore this
advice,
www.badflash.com can bail you out with a new flash chip, if
the computer will no longer boot. As long as the flash chip is in
a socket, and is not soldered directly to the motherboard, it can
be replaced.)
To determine what CPU upgrade options you've got, type P4S333-M
into the search box here. (Note - the processors listed are
Northwood type 0.13u and not Prescott. Do not buy a Prescott 90nm
if it is not specifically listed, neither a Celeron-D 90nm
processor. Again, the BIOS might not support it. Notice how
there is a BIOS release number dependence versus processor type.)
