P Pace Jul 19, 2004 #3 Obituary to my Hitachi aka ex-IBM: My Hitachi 7K250 80GB SATA just died! Thankfully it was a slow and painful death so I was able to salvage most of my files. It was less than 8 months old. For an ex-IBM drive, it lived a full life. RIP
