Wanted: Fast Printer Recommendation

Hi all,

I am looking for an inkjet printer to print colour text (no photos), and I
want to ensure a high PPM count. I was looking at the Canon i860, but I
cannot find a source in the UK. Can anyone recommend a fast inkjet to me?

You're looking for the wrong printer, Canon printers in the UK have a 5
instead of a 0...

it's the i865, nice and fast printer.

They are slow to deliver but are reliable. I am not affiliated with

FWIW, a downside of going to some effort to get a printer not available
in your area is that ink won't be available either.

Most of my speed concerned printing is black. A good range of HP models
(with varying photo and other functions) top out at 22 ppm draft. The
draft seems as sharp as the higher quality modes, it just comes out dark
gray instead of bottomless black.



The Canon web site has a "help me pick a printer" function. If you
select on documents and not photos it points you to a model just a hair
slower than the 860 for about half as much.

You should also make some estimation of pages per month and compare that
to manufacurers suggested volume.
