want to upgrade Phaser 740 to 1200 dpi

I have a Tektronix/Xrox Phaser 740 I wish to upgrade to 1200 dpi. I
beleive there is an upgrade kit you can buy to do this. I already have
128mb of memory can I just flash the firmware. If so does any have it
or a chip, if not does anyone have a kit they wish to sell.

I would expect the upgrade to be hardware.

I believe there are other changes/requirements.

Look up the Z640FP 'kit upgrade".
 
Yes it is hardware (Extra memory/new firmware eprom / SCSI adaptor)
but I was hopeing becuase I already have the memory if I flashed the
EPROM it might work without the SCI adaptor, as in report error but
still work. There is no upgrade to the drums or tonner sticks.
