Want to read same email on two computers

I have two laptop computers in my home that are not networked. Upstairs is
my "main" computer (running Win XP & IE 6). Downstairs is my "secondary"
machine (running Win98 & IE 5). For convenience I would like to be able to
read incoming email on the downstairs computer, but I want to be able to see
the same email later on the upstairs one so I can respond to email and
manage my email folders in one place (on this "main" computer).

I have checked the box to keep a copy on the server on the downstairs
computer, but once I download & read the email, it does not also appear on
the upstairs computer...and this is what I would like to accomplish. How do
I do it? What settings do I need to use on each computer?

Thanks in advance, Fran

include at least link to new thread so people can help you :)
my suggestion is ... use something like remote administrator, so you can read the mail on slave computer in the same manner as if you were behind its keyboard. in that case you wont need to keep 2 copies of messages. keep in mind that RA (remote administrator) is (as Antiviruses thread it) hacking tool, but everything seems ok if you set a port different from default.

I hope that helps.

P.S. sorry for offtopic posts.
