Want reminder to display in middle of screen. How?

I set reminders on my calendar to pop up when they are due. Before Outlook
2003 the reminder would pop up in the middle of my screen. Now, after we got
Outlook 2003, the reminder pops up as a button on the bar at the bottom of
the screen and I don't see it. I want it to pop up in the middle of my
screen again. How can this be set up?
 
Okay, this wasn't entirely true, the reminders do pop up on top of the screen
if I am in Outlook. If I am in Excel or Word, the reminders pop up UNDER
what I am working on rather than on top of the screen. How can I get the
reminders to pop up on top of the screen no matter what I am on?
