I recently tried to reload my disk of windows 2000 and was
only able to load the first part of the disk. Then I called
fujitsu and they were able to fix my problem without
having to reload the disk. However evertime I start my
comp. I now get these 3 options in which I an only giving
about 7 second to choose they are start 2ooo set, run 2000
or run 2000 prof. I have to use the up arrow 2times to
highlite run 2000 prof. Please tell me how to eliminate
this anoying step.THANK YOU MATT GIORDANO

It sounds like your computer is now trying to use a boot menu during
startup that you previously didn't have to use. Right click on My computer
and selet properities. Under the properties option, you will find an
Advanced tab. Selet it. You will then find a settings box under the Startup
and Recovery Option, Select it. At the top you will see a drop down list
that should have the three options you listed below. Select the one that is
correct. You will then find a box just below the drop down list that has a
countdown timer, If you set this number to 0, the menu will not appear.

I am also having this problem, how do you tell witch
option in the scrolldown list is the correct one?

Thats kind of obvious, the one works for you is the one you need.
Consult the hidden boot.ini file in your root and confirm that the boot menu
option that returns the drive / partition / folder you wish to keep is
indeed the winner.

You might want to brush up on ARC conventions.
Partition1 (pri. EIDE channel) Multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
Partition1 (pri. EIDE channel, 2nd part)
Multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT
Partition2 (pri. EIDE channel, slave drive)
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINNT
Partition3 (sec. EIDE channel) multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINNT
etc...

Then modify the boot.ini file to fit your needs and revert its attributes.
