I've got a USB Speedtouch modem for my freeserve connection and when I turn on the pc it takes too long to connect. It's at least 30 seconds after I've logged onto my desktop. Is there any way of making it start sooner or the USB to switch it on sooner? The reason I want it to do this is because I want to put the auto connect in my start up file so it automatically connects when I log on. That way I don't have to bother connecting when I want ot use it. Thans for any help. I'm only a beginner.

Assuming this is the broadband modem, Speedtouch 330? , then it is designed
to be allways on. When you start yr pc there will allways be a delay in
connecting.
If not a broadband connection then there is allways a delay in connecting,
the length of delay may have nothing to do with yr pc.
