Want Friendly Logon Screen after auto logoff

Running XP Pro on a networt, not a domain. I could swear that my machine
used to automatically return to the friendly logon screen when idle for a
short time. In order to resume what I was doing, I had to log back on.
Other users could also log on. Now, I get a classic logon box that only
allows me to log on, no other users.

I want the computer to "lock" when idle and show the friendly screen with
all users able to logon, or allow me to return to my work. I am the only
administrator.

Can this be done???

The welcome screen and the fast user switching is automatically disabled when
you are networked.

When I go to the cotroll panel. user accounts. chage the way the user logs on
and off, it tells me that client services for netware has disabled the
welcome screen and fast user log switching. Also says i must uninstall client
services for netware to restore these features.

What sort of network are you using? If it's a Microsoft peer-to-peer
then you don't need Netware services.

Gordon, our in house computor people are telling me that our network system
is local intranet, but of course they have told us things in the past, and it
seems more like a guess than an answer.
