Hi,
Weeks ago I've uninstalled a program (Tweak XP), but its
entry in the system control panel of start menu (XP Home)
is still present. I know, the question sounds a little
bit naive. Anyway a good tip, how to remove it will be
very welcome.

Thanks,
Richard

All items listed in the Control Panel have files ending in .CPL - just
determine which one is the one you don't want and delete it.

Hi Richard,

Remove this from the registry: If it was from my site for TweakUI XP:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
ControlPanel\NameSpace\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\", "Add
Tweakui to Control Panel"

If it was an earlier version of TUI: Delete these 4 files

c:\windows\system32\tweakui.cpl
c:\windows\help\tweakui.hlp
c:\windows\help\tweakui.cnt
c:\windows\inf\tweakui.inf

Then type msconfig in Start - Run and uncheck the line on the start up tab
that has rundll32 tweakui.cpl,TweakMeUp
