We have recently procured an Electronic Document
Management System. Unfortunately, the salesman told us
yesterday that if we have client PCs which have been
supplied with XP Pro. Then we will need to buy a WAN
viewer in order to see any scanner on the system.
However, if we have any PCs which have been upgraded to
XP pro from a previous version of Windows then they will
not have the problem. He has suggested a product called
eistream from technoworld.com which costs a lot of extra
money. Surely I can load up the correct files form the
older Windows OS's and register them on the PC's in order
to get this to work instead of spending another £10,000
for 100 users!!
Can anyone help us?
