I work for a company based in the North West of England. We have several offices across the region, each of which has its own LAN with filestore.
We want to centralise this filestore so that all staff can access files from whichever office they are working from (and possibly, via broadband internet connections), from home.
All the offices have broadband internet connections and, since we're a charity, it's likely that, in order to minimise costs, we'll need to use these as the basis for the system.
Ideally, we'll need to have two servers at different locations, with one providing a backup solution to the other.
Can anyone advise me what would be the best way to proceed? Obviously we need a computer to act as a filestore but what software/systems do we need to put in place in order to make the system work?
Thanks,
Gary
