Hi, It's funny, since I fixed this a couple of days ago.. and something is
changing the value in the registry because it's doing it again.. I have
scanned with spybot, adaware Se, and AVG.. and I come up clean.. but.. it
could be a trojan, one that is unknown to the three I scanned with..so if
someone can please give me a link for a trojan scan, one that actually fixes
the little bugger, if one is found.. I would be very greatful.. To tell you
what I have already done..

I went to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies.. and
changed the value from 1 to O for noactivedesktop..
and did the same for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
I then rebooted.. and was able to change the wallpaper.. no big deal...
wallpaper I mean, but hate the idea that something is out of sync with my
computer and also knowing that something might be causing the problem..

thanks Rainy ps. also the transparent region behind the text on the icon
has now gone to color.. :(

I am having more problems .. and really need the link.. I tried to scan with
AVG in safemode, and it wouldn't... plus windows update is not updating me,
it did before, and now the green bar just goes on and on.. I don't know if
that is the web site, or my computer... :( Thanks Rainy

registry, just wish I knew what.. and can ace it.. Rainy
