Hi!

I have a problem when I try to put jpg files as a
wallpaper. They are shown much too big so that I only have
a small part of the photo on the desktop. I clicked
"centered" but this does not work. When I click "fitting"
it doesn't look the way it should be.

Can someone please give me an advise?

Thanks,
Britta

Try:
- using the stretch option (it also stretches inwards as
well as outwards)
- converting it to a .bmp bitmap using paint

Thanks, I will try that.
I did try the stretch option, but it always made it look funny.

But bmp might work...

The graphics file should be the same proportions as the screen, i.e. 4:3,
otherwise it will distort the image. I use an image-editing tool to either
crop odd-shaped pictures, or add gray borders to bring them up to standard
height and width.

Hi:

It sounds like your JPEG images are not the correct
size/dimensions for a computer screen.

To correct this, you could open the Paint program<open the
image you want as background<click on the Iamge
menu<select Attributes< and enter the size: in this case
try out 800 x 600 to start with. then save the file ina
new name. thats it!

hope it helps

I use an external wallpaper manager to cycle through a collection of
jpgs. One of the features is that it can stretch/shrink the image
while maintaining the correct proportions. In case anyone is
interested, it's called Wallmaster.

thanks a lot, I will try this wallpaper manager since
transforming jpg's into bmp's didn't work either.
