Wallpaper : more than 1000 pictures !

Hello !

When i go to
Display proprieties / desktop /
To change my wallpaper,
It spend 2mn, CPU 100%
and I can see more than 1000 pictures
I think my default wallpaper folder is C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
But I can see all my "my pictures" folder recursive (M:\Photos)

If I see in
HKCU / Software / Microsoft / windows / CurentVertion / Explorer / Wallpaper
MRU have 500 key + MRUListExt
If I delete MRU (in HKCU and HKU) and I reboot,
When i go to
Display proprieties / desktop /
If I see in
HKCU / Software / Microsoft / windows / CurentVertion / Explorer / Wallpaper
MRU have 500 key + MRUListExt
Again.

Can you help mi to have a "Display proprieties" faster?
And no have plenty picture in wallpaper.
