Hello...

It seems like some of my people in Finance has the ability to add 3rd party
wallpaper on their desktop.

I've check the GPO settings and everything seems to check out fine.

Under Active Desktop, settings are as follows:

Enable AD = Enabled
Disable AD = Disabled
Allow only bitmapped wallpaper = Disabled
Active Desktop Wallpaper = Enabled (it's pointing to a customized logo
that we have created and it's stored in a shared drive on the network)

Here is the problem, the customized wallpaper has never worked out for me
and I'm sure that I'm pointing to the correct UNC path.

In order for the customize logo to work, Enable Active Desktop needs to be
enabled and Disable Active Desktop need to be disable, according to MS
descriptions, is that true?

Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Logon as a test user and the type regedit and look at the HKCU-Control
Panel-Desktop- Wallpaper key. See if the path is correctly there. I
have redirected all my wallpaper to H:desktopwallpaper.jpg and it
works great. I don’t have "disable AD = Disabled". I have it not
configured and the Enable AD = Enabled.

By the way, users will still be able to change their desktop for the
session they are logged on. It should reset to the Domain one on next
logon.

Cheers,

Lara
