I have a Windows Media Center 2004 edition PC.
It connects to my home network via integrated WIFI card.

IS there a feature that could enable a Wake on WIFI as opposed to a
wake on lan?

there is no option on the properties of my wifi adapter, but i'm dying
to know if this is possible??

thanks
mike

If it's mobo integrated then look for the option in cmos setup.

If this option existed a computer would wake on a neighbors booting up a
laptop, or quite possibly picking up a 2MHz band telephone. It sound
technically unrealistic that such an option could be implemented.

This topic has been somewhat talked about on the MediaCenter newsgroup.

With my MediaCenter, since I also have Orb installed on it to share photo,
videos/movies with others - I opted to leave it on all the time - just auto
turn off the projector TV.

I think you will find many others that opt to leave it on - although
MediaCenter does auto turn itself on from Standby mode to capture scheduled
live TV.

Also; as this newsgroup is about Working Remotely - you will want the
computer on so you can remote desktop to the computer.

I had thought that the answer to this was no--based on a previous search for
this same information.

However, it looks like now the answer is "maybe."

Do a Google on 802.11b wake on lan

At least some current chipsets seem to support this capability. However, in
addition to the hardware supporting it, you'll need the driver to do so.

This is not something I've ever managed, although I use Wake On Lan nearly
daily to do maintenance work in small offices remotely.
