Hi,

I have several computers at my house. I would like to have them all
accessible via wake on lan functionality (so that I no longer need to
keep them running all of the time).

I'd like to configure them to automatically go into standby after, say,
15 minutes.

I'd like a specific computer to wake up if I try to remote desktop into
it from work.

I've poked around a bit but can't seem to get anything to work (ie the
computer never comes out of standby).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think the Wake up on Lan is one of the feature in motherboard.
You can access this setting from the BIOS.

At first you need a program to send a "magic packet" to wake up your
computer.

The to remote control your pc you could use the freeware program available
at http://www.realvnc.com/
I use it myself and I'm really fond of it.

To automatically shutdown the pc's use the winxp command shutdown or
download some freeware. Do a search on google for "winxp shutdown program"
