hi jimmy s.! A: you are the greatest! B: trying to install wages of sin
add-on, being told i don't have sin installed! since i do, any work around?
steve

Woohoo, I'm the greatest! You heard it here folks! :-)

Steve, the values in the registry might be out of place. The
best way to resolve that is to uninstall Wages, reboot, and
then install the game again.. check for a game patch first
though, in case you need to update the version before being
able to install that add-on. Good luck, thanks for the props!

Hi Steve,

Try installing it again in SAFE MODE using an Administrator account.
I would suggest compatibility mode, but Googling the game revealed
that the retail version should be able to install without using that.

.... Just the same, you might want to try that as well. ;-)

hi jimmy s,! i installed sin 1.01 in a new folder, and then installed wages
of sin which upgraded sin to 1.03 with no problems. apparently, it's
installation process doesn't recognize any newer patches. now i'm going to
try patching the whole thing to 1.11. if that doesn't work, i'll fiddle with
the 7 files that the 1.11 patch upgrades. as always, thanx for your presence
in this newsgroup! steve
