I am not an expert and have recently changed computers.

I seem to be encountering a known problem, but cannot resolve it with the
suggested method.

I am getting non-specific error messages:

"Outlook Express: There was an error opening this message. An error has
occurred"

"The address book failed to load. Outlook Exoress is incorrectly configured."

I tried the recommended method, using the disk I received with my computer,
but this did not work. The file was not found on the disk (It is a Dell
computer and came with pre-loaded software, I repeat, I am not a computer
specialist!)

Any suggestions how to resolve?

Patti,

I just read that you solved the problem for Ainem and I have the same
problem so I was excited. BUT - I really am not savy enough on a PC to do
the fix you gave in your answer. Is there another way that this can be done
by someone that really has no clue about a PC? I only know enough to get me
into trouble which is what I have done on this month old system. I
over-customized without knowing what I was doing and now I'm trying to undo
everything without success. I work on a UNIX based system with no worries
when something goes wrong (IT dept). I need to use a VPN and Reflections to
work at home and I'm concerned that these issues may get in the way of these
2 applications.
