OK, I have Outlook SR-1 Internet Mail only, the error message pops up
whenever I click save and close after trying to edit anything in an
individual contact file, name, title, address, etc. The error reads... An
error occurred while attempting to open window address book. Unable to
find
the WAB DLL. If I need to repair Outlook Express how do I go about doing
that and will I lose any information?
Thanks again for your help, Susan

Outlook does not use the WAB. Outlook Express does. I still need to know
your version of Outlook 2000. If it is Internet Mail Only, then the
address
service uses the WAB engine instead of Outlook's and can only be repaired
by
repairing Outlook Express.
Nothing you do in the Contacts folder should generate this message. You
aren't trying to edit data in the address book view are you?

You haven't posted any information yet. What is the problem you are
having?
What steps produce the error message? What is the error message? Which
version of Outlook 2000 are you using, Internet Mail Only or
Corp/Workgroup?

I apologize; I deleted the post after I had read this one figured it
was
just
dual info. I read a lot of the other replies to the same error
message
however I have Office 2000, seems everyone else is 03. Is there a
download
that will patch this problem? Will I lose all my contacts &
calendar
info?
Please help.

You've posted nothing.

I posted the same question except I receive the error message when
trying
to
edit a contact. Did you ever fix the problem?
Susan
:
Tell us which mail support mode of Outlook this is. If it is
Internet
Mail
Only, you aren't actually using Outlook when you use the address
book.
List
the steps that caused the problem.
