Finished install of W7 Pro 64 bit. Question is I backed up settings/docs,
etc with XP to W7 version of WET. I'm not reinstalling some of the programs
I had on XP Pro however...when I run WET in W7 Pro...will it just ignor
data/docs/files, etc that it saved from XP when installing/updating them on
W7.

Als, can I run WET numerous times as I reinstall programs on the clean
install of W7 ?

Thanks, Tim

When you are done, it will suggest you install certain programs because it
transferred the settings.

You shouldn't have to run it again and - in fact - I would not recommend
that. It's sort of like making a backup of a file, editing that file, then
restoring the old version over it. You never get anywhere.

Thanks Shenan...if I understand this right...WET will transfer whatever
info/data/settings/folders I set it to do from XP to W7....whether therelated
program is installed or not at this point ?

What happens then to any settings/files, etc, that have been loaded by WET
if the corresponding program that they came from is never/not installed ?
Are those items self and/or manually purged or purgeable ?

And if not...will there then be a number of unrelated or connected registry
settings, data files, etc, if the "parent" program is never installed on W7 ?
