I have a warning event that pops up every minute or so on
my System log when I am connected to the Internet and I
wonder how can I stop it.

My system is win2000 sp3. I have a recent hacker attack
and may have some worm/virus left which are not detected
by Norton antivirus and Spybot S&D.

The Warning source is W3SVC Event ID 36 User N/A
Description is "The server fail to load application". The
error was "The specified metadata was not found".

This warning only occurs when my computer is connected
to the LAN hooking up to my ISP, and will not appear
when I disconnect from the LAN, it also appears less
frequently when there are traffic on the internet.

Can some one tell me what is happening and how can I fix
this warning?

If you've been hacked and know it the most sensible thing to do is a
complete wipe and re-installation. Ensuring a SP and all current
security fixes and A-V and software firewall are installed and
activated before ever connecting to the Internet. Anything less and
you may never be certain the system is "clean".
