HI,

I have a Windows 2000 Server and it is freezing couple
time a day. I get the following in the event viewer.

Warning W3SVC
The server was unable to add the virtual root /d for
the directory 'd:\" due to the following error. The
device is not ready. The data is the error code.
www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp

I suspect it may be some kind of power supply problem
since I get device is not ready. Anyone has any
suggestion. This is Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3.

The error message sounds like you have added a virtual directory in your
web site that directs to your D drive, which most likely is a CD drive
that currently has no disc inserted. This portion is most likely not a
power supply issue, but it is possible that your computer is hanging due
to the power supply. By the way, device not ready generally means there
is no disc inserted, in case you didn't know :)
