W3C markup validation fails

When I try to validate my websitg at http://validator.w3.org/, I get an
error This page is not Valid (no Doctype found)!.

How do I get frontpage to supply a Doctype?

I used your instructions at
http://www.spiderwebwoman.com/tutorials/doctypesolution.asp. but found that
when a blank page was created, the code appeared after the html tag and not
before it. Is there a correction for this or is it just another bug in
Frontpage that is being ignored by Microsoft by dropping the product?

I found the problem. Apparantly when it was first opened, the default
editor was simply ASCII, now the second time it is opened, it uses Frontpage
as the editor and the entire structure is shown and when the doctype is
placed above the html section, it is placed in the new document correctly.

Oh good, it wasn't just another bug in Frontpage that is being ignored by
Microsoft by dropping the product. Whew!

However, the incorrect handling of the body command is a microsoft bug not
handled by dropping the product!!!
