I keep getting an error in my system log that says NTP server didn't respond.
I was wandering the best way to correct this. The company i am working for
has a win2000 domain controller, and then a windows 20003 server
(non-controller). The error is appearing on the win2k machine.

Usually I see one server in the environment that connects to an external time
server to get the time, and everyone else relies on that server. You can use
the "NET TIME" command to see where your server is pointing, and to repoint
it if necessary.

If you'd like to sync your server up with an official time server, first
check with your ISP to see if they have a time server that you can use. If
they don't, just google "Public Time Servers" or "Public NTP" and there are
some out there.

And of course, only do this if you're the admin ;)

I have seen this message and I also have an additional question! The time
server does not seem to stay put. I continually see another server's name in
response to the net time command.. a server that was never designated as the
time keeper.
