I have set my Windows 2000 forest root DC (PDC) to sync time with an external
time source. When I stop the time service to run "w32tm -v -once" everything
works as it should. Once the time service is restarted I continually get
Event ID 11 "The NTP server did not respond".
The internet gateway is on another member server with ISA and port 123 is
open.
I have set the w32time service to log time updates. I only get an event
entry when the time is updated through w32tm (manual update). The w32time
service never seems to get an NTP response.
Why is w32tm able to communicate with my NTP time source but the w32time
service is not?
Thanks... -Henry
