My network is not connected to the internet for security
reasons. Is there any way of syncronising the clock to an
external source, via a piece of hardware or something? I
keep getting W32 errors. Thank you.
There's no such device by my knowledge. Those errors will keep on
coming if the windows clock cannot synchronize with an NTP server.
You can disable this synchronization service without affecting the
Windows or internal pc clock.
Just right-click on My Computer -> Manage
Choose for Services and Applications, Services, scroll down to where
it says "Windows Time". Right-click that service and choose
properties. Then set the startup-type to Manual and stop the service
or set it to Disabled alltogether.
Just beware, with what you disable in the Services pane. If you kill
certain services, you can really mess up your OS. Some of the services
are safe to disable, such as the Windwos Time Service, while other can
affect your entire system.
I do NOT accept any responsibility if you try to experiment and
disable other services than the one I just suggested.
