If I have two hard disk and two system (W2K and XPP) to boot, is it an
idea worthwhile to pursue to put the 2000-loader on one harddisk and the
XP-loader on another - or is it better to have one XP-loader boot all
systems?

How do you propose to select your OS if the boot loaders
reside on different disks?

My BIOS allows to boot from a specific harddisk. And I thought I could avoid
that a W2K repair always requires a subsequent repair of the XP boot loader.

However, when I start Windows from an installation CD I wouldn't know which
harddisk the installation chooses (unless the order is as saved in the BIOS).
Therefore, the idea is probably not good.

If your BIOS allows you to select the boot disk then your
approach is better than using the Windows boot loader,
because it gives you greater separation between the OSs.
