I recently switched from dial up to cable internet
connection and since then I can't connect to my vpn for
some reason. I'm sure I have the correct settings
established but still, no luck. I get an error:638 the
request has timed-out and on the more info tab, it says I
have an internal error and to restart my computer. I've
tried just about everything with no luck. I know this is
kind of a vague question, but if anyone has any idea as to
why this is happening to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

thanks Phillip, i've tried that along with trying
different settings and nothing seems to work, it's a
simple "procedure" but nothing seems to work, i was hoping
that there was some hidden trick I missed but to no avail.

Try deleting and recreating the VPN "dialup" connection.
