I am re-installing W2K pro. I have loaded all the drivers
for the different hardware. Bootup is extremely slow. I
enabled boot logging and discover that there is a whole
bunch of "Did not Load" messages. Is there a way I can
make windows not to try to load these drivers which is
what seems to be causing the startup delay. Thanks.

Boot in Safe Mode. Safe Mode loads only the minimal drivers needed to
boot. If you recognize or can determin the failing drivers you can
perhaps un-install them from Safe Mode.

I subsequently, out of curiosity, started W2K pro on many
other computers with boot logging enabled and found that
every one of them had some driver or the other not loaded.
My question is does anybody in this forum know how to get
W2K not try to load them? Somewhere in the registry ,
maybe?

Yes perhaps, but one can not go safely into changing drivers
(possibly critical drivers) Start type without knowing exactly what
they are and do. In most cases uninstalling the drivers and perhaps
removing the hardware that they are for is the proper procedure. In
some cases Windows will try the driver always and then decide it is
not needed. Nothing more to say without examples. And I wouldn't
recognize all that many 3rd-party anyway.
