am getting the following errors when I am trying to join
a W2k Pro machine to my W2K domain. These errors occur on
the client workstation.

When I enter the name of the domain as testlab.com, I get
this error:

The following error occured attemting to join the
domain "testlab.com": The interface is unknown.

When I enter the name of the domain as just testlab, I get
this error:

"The dependency does not exist or has been marked for
deletion"

My domain controller has the following services installed
on it:

DNS-Active Directory Integrated;Passes simple and
recursive queries and reverse lookup zone passes nslookup.
DHCP- configured with the following scope options: router,
dns and domain name.
RRAS-Provides Internet connection to local subnet.

I do not see any messages in Event Viewer that trigger a
problem and the knowledge base has not been helpfull at
all..why am I not surprised. I am stumped..any ideas!!!???

I've had similar problems, what I found was that although
the w2kpro could not attach to the domain, a computer
account would be created for it, and it would appear
disabled?!?! Cant remember if I deleted the account and
tried it again or if I just enabled the computer account
and tried again, but it worked eventually

cheers
