Well, I had to reinstall W2K on a computer that is a dual
boot option setup. I have used Partition Magic software
to do this and that part is fine. However, since i have
reinstalled the W2K on the "Sonicorder" build, when i
start the computer, both partition names are the same. I
believe the 2nd option is the one i need to rename.

I am supposed to rename the "boot.int" file to rename it
and make it the default start. But, i cannot seem to
find this file!

Is there another way to rename the startup name even
though once the computer is loaded the right name is
visible?

Thanks for the help

Phil

You can edit the "quoted" text in boot.ini found in the root of the system
partition.

Explorer|Tools|Folder Options|View, then radio button for "Show hidden files
and folders", then uncheck the box for "Hide protected operating system
files" to locate the files in the system partition.
