I am trying to install Win2K.
During set up I get file:\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded error code
7.
Microsoft (KB 318729) says that this could be:
Either: There are incorrect settings in the computer's basic input/output
system (BIOS) configuration.
Or: One or more of the random access memory (RAM) modules that is installed
on the computer is faulty.
I have checked the latter is OK. Admittedly the desktop is low spec:
RAM:200MB and a bit old now (DAN ultimate PC bought in'97), but the BIOS
version according to ASUS is Win2K-compatible and 200MB ought to be
sufficient for, at least, the installation part of Win2K.
Any ideas?
