W2k does not detect 8GB RAM !!!!

Why the Task Manager of Windows 2000 Advance Server does not detect the 8GB
of RAM Memory that has the Server? (DELL PowerEdge 2850)
Detect only 4GB or RAM Memory :-(
It is necessary to touch or to establish some parameter?

Actually, this hotfix will not help unless you have the /pae switch in your
boot.ini already...which it sounds like you do not. See the following KB for
details:

Some Dell Perc's SCSI controllers map memory and without /PAE you will not
get this back.
This happens even with 4GB ram when you should not have to use /PAE.
