Will highly appreciate if anyone could show the best way to save/ copy files from C DRIVE to CD-R. TIA.

Windows 2000 has no native CD burning support built in, so you would need
to install a third-party product to do this. There are many products that
will do this, so the method to do what you are asking will depend on which
product you install.

And, not to be obvious; you also have to have a CDRW
capable of burning CDR. ;-> Can't assume too much here!

Please advise if there is any FREE third party product out there? I have
just installed a CDRW DRIVE> TIA.

HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8240B 24X10X40X . It was installed by the vendor & a
demo version of NERO was installed, which had expired!

Think it's time you go have a talk with the "vendor" about the software
that allows you to use the product they installed. A "writer" without
"burning" software is only a reader.
