I have a complete NTbackup of my HDDdrive onto tape. I want to install a
new drive and restore it, and get rid of the old drive. Do I have to boot
off a floppy disk or something to get this going with a blank HDD? Or do I
have to do a small install of Windows just to get the computer back running,
then do a restore? What are the options of accessing the backup file if
W2Kpro is not running?

Thanks for any answers....

You do a minimal install and then restore.
