I have tried to implement the W2K AutoLogon Feature as
described in detail in Microsoft article 234562. I have
several W2K clients with SP2 that are users in a domain on
a W2K server running SP3. Because they are members of a
domain, I have had to edit the registry to do so, just as
the article describes. I need to run autologon because if
the power ever bumps, the clients need to come up
automatically and load an application without any
intervention from the operator. This works perfectly
except for one caveot - I have to make each user a domain
administrator on the server in order for it to work. I
would like to keep them at a domain user privledge for
security reasons, but it doesn't work - when it get to the
logon portion, I get an error that says "The local policy
of this system does not permit you to logon
interactively". Any ideas???
