Why isn't the Network Wizard from WXP compatible w/ W2K?
Do I need a certain patch or program to network these
together for file sharing?

I don't know why Microsoft didn't make the Wizard compatible with W2K,
but there's no need to use it. W2K's default network settings
(TCP/IP protocol configured to obtain an IP address automatically)
should work fine to connect to WXP.

To make networking between them a little easier, set W2K's workgroup
name to MSHOME to match WXP's workgroup name.

Trouble is, my 2K machine is on a corporate domain. I
need to call tech support at the office to get
reconnected to the domain when I need company network
resources.

Any easy way around this?

Barry
