A server with w2000 advanced server is always crashing. Is has a Sybase
Service with about 12 databases. When it crashes, some of the database's
files get corrupted.
I have no idea if the problem is some impatibility between W2000 and Sybase,
or some other hardware or software problem.
I believe that every time it crashes (auto reboot or frease) it corrupts
some disk data. Most of the times, or perhaps the most noted, are the
database files.
Is there any tool in w2000 adv srv that can answer my question? Or is there
any other tool (free if possible) that can at least ensure if this is a
hardware problem (some intensive disk scan, sector by sector, memory
checker, board checker, ...)
