W Defender & spybot Searh &destroy

I would like to know (please)if i can download Defender, because in my pc i
have already installed spybot Searh &destroy

Sure you can.

I would suggest staying on the side of caution... Make certain to not to
select any of the pernament protection for Spybot, as this can interfere with
WD Real-tme Protectiºn.
SpyBot S&D has one cool tool built into it called TeaTimer'. The TeaTimer
monitors the system continuously, protecting system files and the registry
from malware.

Here are some tips:

Run the Disk Cleanup tººl.
To start the Disk Cleanup tool, click Start, click Run, type cleanmgr.exe in
the Open box, and then click OK.


Can you gº to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updªtes

Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with windows defender will fail until you hªve these f!les.


Install Windows Installer 3.1 v2 (3.1.4000.2435) is availªble here:

Locate your file msi.dll (with search if you are
not sure where it's located) and confirm what the version is, either from
it's properties or just passing your cursor over it. If it's not the
latest which is 3.1.4000.2435, then:

I'd recommend downloading WD, and saving to a known location--like the
desktop.

After the download is complete, disable real-time protection by your
antivirus for long enough to do the installation.

Please disable or turn off as much other software that always runs as you
can--real time antivirus scanning, any other antispyware software, (Stop all
programs that are open in the bottom taskbar) etc.

My Spybot S&D does not have a TeaTimer in it and it is not in the index. Is
this an automatic feature?

What version of Spybot Search & Destroy you have?

This is the leastest
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4.

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode:
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner:
Click on Resident icon:
Uncheck Teatimer box
Check SDHelper (if installed).
Important! Reboot to make these changes take effect.

Change the Spybot Mode to advanced. Then under Tools, select Resident. You
should see a box to check to enable Tea Timer.
