Hi there.

I installed a norton protector and had some access
problems with the firewall. I unistalled the program.
Now, I get an error when I log onto the computer telling
me that it can't find the 'vxdmgr32.exe' program. Does
anyone know what this is and where it can be found? I
looked on the xp disc and it's not found there.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg

That is one file you do not want to find on your PC, it is a Virus. Probably
the Dumaru trojan. It sounds like Norton caught it, but did not do a good
job of cleaning up afterwards.

Try getting and running the cleaner that Symantec has posted here:

What you are describing are symptoms of a worm known as Dumaru.
