Vuescan scans different area from preview

I use 8.3.77 and when I set the crop on preview Vuescan always 'shifts' the
crop to the left a bit on the main scan so i lose some of the RHS and gain a
black border on the left. What am I doing wrong? This is very frustrating
and noticed it on previous versions too
 
Try deleting your INI files and manually recreating them. This seemed
to have fixed the problems I saw with 8.3.75, but I haven't tested
enough to conclusively say so. I recommend outputting a raw scan and
sending to Ed for fixing. I have had the same problem in the past.
