You did not say what model of Canon scanner you have, but you can download
most all the Windows Twain drivers from Canon.

This is the entry page for Canon support in the USA.
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SupportIndexAct

Canon also has international support.
http://www.canon.com/

Just choose your country from the map and when you get to the country site,
choose Support.

Are you looking for Windows drivers, or Mac drivers. With OS10 Apple
dropped the support of numerous devices, there are a lot of scanners
not supported. So this is a Mac problem, and if you have to buy
VueScan, it is a solution. You could also spend a few $ more and get a
new scanner. BTW I have the same problem with Umax not making a driver
for WinXP.

Well, I suppose T O A is a Mac user and feels left behind by Canon not
providing drivers for Mac OS X.

Well, I guess the case is that _Canon_ dropped support for those devices
and not Apple?

Well, if the scanner is half or two thirds that price?

That's your option - has nothing to do with the cost of Vuescan. Most
quality flatbeds that scan film cost substantially more.

Really! Download it and try it out for free (I believe the trial version is
the standard, not professional, so you will have fewer options available).
